Audra McLaughlin is a 25 year old country singer/song-writer who gained international recognition from Season 6 of NBC’s hit show “The Voice”; she was a member of Country Superstars Blake Shelton’s Team and her combination of powerhouse vocals, stunning looks and sweet demeanor took her all the way through to the finals.

Audra started singing at the age of 8 years old. Her parents and family friends noticed that she was always singing around the house so they decided to sign her up for voice lessons at a local studio in her hometown of Glenolden, PA. Her vocal teacher was so impressed she asked her to start participating in some recitals at the local church. Audra sang songs from some of her influences; LeAnn Womack, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes and Shania Twain, to name a few.

After continuing to grow as a young vocalist she started winning local competitions and joined the school chorus and choir where she was chosen to do many solos. Audra said “I was very nervous to perform in front of fellow students; I did not want them laughing at me because I forgot the words or messed up.” But, that did not end up being the case because Audra ended up winning an award at her 8th grade graduation as being the “best” singer in her class.

Audra continued to work on her vocals as she went on to high school and performed in her choir and the after school select choir for students who were serious about music. It was at that point in Audra’s career where she decided it was time to jump into the national competitions and began trying out for many of the music talent shows including American Idol, The X Factor and Americas Got Talent. She didn’t make it through those auditions but she didn’t quit. Audra said “quitting was never an option in my mind”.

At the age of 16 it was time to work on performing and to continue to build up her vocals so she joined a local rock band and started on the club circuit playing cover tunes and started working on her songwriting and original music. After a short time with the rock band she started her own country rock band, and started recording original music and playing the guitar.

After graduating high school and starting college she knew she wanted music to be her full-time career so in 2013 she joined “Let There Be Rock School” in her area. This is where she met vocal coach Melissa Daley who helped her figure out that her voice belonged in country music. Melissa had an opportunity to send someone to a private audition for the hit TV show “The Voice”. Melissa thought Audra was the best student for this audition and the rest is history. Audra went to Hollywood and got a 4 turn chair from the celebrity coaches and made it all the way to becoming a finalist for Blake Shelton’s team.

Since “The Voice” Audra has been working in Nashville writing songs, releasing new music and touring the US. She has opened for country superstars Dierks Bentley, Chase Rice, Frankie Ballard, Eric Paslay, Neil McCoy, and more. In Addition, she has been performing at radio festivals, corporate events and singing the national anthem at NFL, NBA, and MLB events. Most recently, she was on a NASCAR tour performing across the country.

Audra not only loves singing but has a big heart and loves helping people. She does events with American Diabetes Society, Juvenile Diabetes Society and was just named a brand ambassador for Free 2 Luv (Nonprofit anti-bullying organizations) to help kids get through their tough struggles and encounters. Audra has a huge heart for veterans and does many events in their honor. “The veteran events are very close to me and my family as my grand pop had served his country. I really respect all veterans and active duty service men and women as they put their lives on the line to keep our country safe” Audra said. “Hope to see everyone out on the road at one of my events.”
